It’s been over a decade since I last blogged, so I thought it was maybe time to try again. Preferably about something more enriching than Tuckton lake and Sex Pistols Tribute bands this time though.

(Zero guarantees these kinds of posts won’t eventually come round again, because… you know… Life and Deadlines™).

I had a few ideas for titles kicking around:

• Pack of Wild Blogs (in honour of the inimitable Matthew Thiessen who I’m pretty sure wouldn’t have minded)
• Blog Eat Blog (you can have that one for free)
• Blog Roll (moving on…)

In the end, I went with a take on something Wikipedia assures me was one of our earliest memes.

Stack-wise, I’ve opted to use Hugo which is a static-site generator written in Go that I ported my Dad’s band’s site to from Jekyll a couple of years ago. As far as SSGs go, it’s quite a nice one to use with some intuitive syntax and super fast build times.
